Iran Human Rights (IHRNGO); December 13, 2022: Vahid Narouyi, a Baluch man sentenced to death for drug-related charges, was secretly executed in Shiraz Central Prison.
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a Baluch man was executed in Shiraz Central Prison on December 12. His identity has been established as 30-year-old Vahid Narouyi who was sentenced to death for drug-related charges by the Revolutionary Court.
Hal Vash which first reported the execution quoted an informed source as saying: “Vahid’s execution was carried out without his family being informed or given the chance to say goodbye to him. They were informed after the execution to collect the body.”
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media or officials in Iran.
More than 500 people including 2 juvenile offenders have been executed in 2022, the highest annual execution since 2017.
3 Baluch Men Executed for Murder in Saravan
Iran Human Rights (IHRNGO); December 13, 2022: Three Baluch men sentenced to qisas (retribution-in-kind) for murder, were executed in Saravan Prison.
According to Hal Vash, three Baluch men were executed in Isfahan Central Prison on December 10. Their identities have been reported as Ehsan Bakhtiari (pictured), Mostafa (surname unknown) and Moslem (surname unknown), who were all sentenced to qisas for murder.
At the time of writing, their executions have not been reported by domestic media or officials in Iran.
2 Secretly Executed for Drug Charges in Qazvin
Iran Human Rights (IHRNGO); December 12, 2022: Abbas Hosseini and Ali Seyedkhani, two men sentenced to death for drug-related charges, were secretly executed in Qazvin Central Prison.
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, two men were executed in Qazvin Central Prison on December 12. Their identities have been established as Abbas Hosseini and Ali Seyedkhani who were sentenced to death for drug-related charges by the Revolutionary Court.
An informed source told Iran Human Rights: “They were arrested around three years ago and sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court. Two months ago, they were promised by the court that their sentences would be commuted to prison terms. Yet, their sentences were carried out.”
At the time of writing, their executions have not been reported by domestic media or officials in Iran.
