Truong My Lan, a businesswoman who chaired a sprawling company that developed luxury apartments, hotels, offices and shopping malls, was arrested in 2022.

Somaliland: Six Executed for Murder

January 11, 2016: Somaliland government carried out the execution of 6 prisoners in different regions of the country. 

The 6 included a soldier who killed a police officer recently in Berbera.

The execution of these people took place in Daraweyene, Mandheera and Borama. 

All were convicted criminals according to the local press.

Sources mention that the execution order was signed by President Siilaanyo for the six men in order to mitigate the situation after murder-related cases have increased in the recent times.
