Iranian authorities have executed five Kurdish prisoners at Bukan Central Prison after they were sentenced to death on drug-related and premeditated murder charges.
Hengaw has confirmed the identities of three of the executed prisoners as Rahman Mahmoudi, Jafar Mohammadi, and Salah Jang.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the executions were carried out during the early hours of Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Bukan Central Prison.
The identities of two other prisoners who were sentenced to death in a joint case remain under investigation by Hengaw.
Among the executed prisoners, Salah Jang had been arrested three years ago on charges of premeditated murder and was later sentenced to death. The four other prisoners had been sentenced to death on drug-related charges.
The group execution has not been publicly announced by Iranian judicial authorities or state-affiliated media.
