Mustakim Bhathiara, a 38-year-old Indian cook from Kapadvanj, was executed in Kuwait on April 28 for the 2019 murder of his employer, Rehana Khan.

According to reports, Mustakim had a disagreement with his employer, which escalated into a violent confrontation leading to Mustakim stabbing Rehana Khan to death.
Mustakim was accused of murder by the employer's family and was arrested by Kuwaiti authorities.

In 2021, he was convicted and sentenced to death. He was executed on April 28. His family members in Kapadvanj were informed of his execution by the Indian embassy. His body was returned to Ahmedabad and then taken to Kapadvanj, where he was buried according to Islamic rituals on Wednesday.
