Ethiopian Woman to Be Executed for Indian Colleague’s Stabbing
The Court of Cassation has issued a verdict to execute an Ethiopian woman who fatally stabbed her Indian colleague on the first day of Ramadan last year in the Abdullah Al-Mubarak area.
The violent incident occurred following a dispute between them over the allocation of kitchen duties.
A concerned citizen had alerted the Ministry of Interior about a murder within his residence situated in the Abdullah Al-Mubarak area.
The Ethiopian woman had fatally stabbed her Indian colleague during the holy month of Ramadan.
Subsequently, law enforcement personnel, investigative teams, and forensic experts promptly responded to the location.
The accused was apprehended, and a weapon used in the crime was confiscated.
Kuwaiti, Egyptian to hang for Rashidi kill
The Criminal Court yesterday sentenced a Kuwaiti citizen and an Egyptian expatriate, who were accused of the 1st-degree murder of Mubarak Al-Rashidi, to death by hanging.
The Public Prosecution had demanded the Criminal Court to issue the death penalty for the suspects after it was proven that they had committed premeditated murder.
It confirmed that the 1st defendant committed his crime with premeditation by preparing his equipment, looking for the victim, and committing the murder after catching him.
Weeks after the citizen Mubarak Al- Rashidi disappeared in Subbiya desert, the Ministry of Interior announced the discovery of his body inside a container in Salmi.
On May 26, the forensic evidence report revealed that the body belonged to the missing citizen Mubarak Al-Rashidi, and that he had been killed.
The investigations by the Ministry of Interior and its continuous efforts since the disappearance of the citizen Mubarak Al-Rashidi revealed the details and circumstances of this heinous crime.
The investigations extended from Kuwait to Egypt, in coordination with the Egyptian security authorities, to find the Egyptian suspect who had witnessed the crime inside a camp in Kabd and had helped in transporting Al-Rashidi’s body to Salmi.
