A blindfolded "gay man" is about to be thrown from a building
before being stoned to death by ISIS militants in Syria. |
Islamic State (ISIS) has released yet more images of another man being thrown from a building for being gay, before being stoned to death.
Back in January, the extremist group executed
two men for being gay. The men were thrown from a tall building. Some of the images were too graphic to display on PinkNews.
Now images reportedly out of Syria show another man accused of being gay being thrown from a building, before stoning him to death as he also survived the ordeal.
According to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), the killing took place on Tuesday in Syria.
Rami Abdurrahman, director of SOHR, told the Independent that the man was aged between 25 and 30 years old, and that he was believed to have survived the drop before being stoned.

Gay men who could be murdered by ISIS are being told 'they're not worth saving'
Gay rights activists in Syria have alleged they have been told 'they're not worth saving' from ISIS.
Nour, a gay man, lives near to where Islamic extremists are throwing gay men off buildings and then, if they survive, encouraging others to stone them to death.
During an interview with CNN, Nour alleged he and others have tried to reach out to international groups but have been told they are not a 'priority'.
'LGBT people in Syria need help, and they need to be supported. We tried to reach out to some groups, international entities, and they said that LGBT people in Syria are not our priority, and that would mean that our lives are not worthy for them to rescue,' he claimed.
Militants have leaked images of a gay men being thrown off buildings over the last few months, branding gay people 'the worst of creatures'.
The last was a blindfolded man believed to be in his 20s who was dragged to the top of a seven-story building by three extremists in black masks in Raqqa earlier this week. He was pushed off the roof falling to his death in front of a baying crowd.
'It's too much to watch, and people are just standing there in these images and watching, and they are not doing anything, and their facial expressions are really scary because they are not even scared of what is going on,’ Nour added.
‘They might be a little bit excited or maybe happy to get rid of homosexuals in the city.’
Being gay is illegal in Syria and Article 520 of the Syrian Penal Code of 1949 declares that ‘any unnatural sexual intercourse shall be punished with a term of imprisonment of up to three years.’
However ISIS, the extremist militant religious group, have taken over many parts of the country and are practising sharia law. On the Islamic State’s website they’ve promised to make ‘being gay punishable by death’.
The International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission this week urged the United Nations and Foreign Ministers of Canada, France, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden and the US to protected marginalized and persecuted minorities.
‘Don't Turn Away’ is their awareness-raising campaign calling for action to protect LGBTI Syrians and Iraqis from ISIS' savagery. The commission is calling on governments and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to expedite resettlement and refugee applications for LGBTI people.
