Truong My Lan, a businesswoman who chaired a sprawling company that developed luxury apartments, hotels, offices and shopping malls, was arrested in 2022.

Iran: one man stoned to death in Mashad

December 26, 2008: One man was stoned by the mullahs' judiciary in Behesht-Reza cemetery in the holy city of Mashhad, Iran.

Another prisoner, identified as Mahmoud, managed to get out of the hole. According to mullahs' penal codes he will not be stoned to death for the second time. The two men were sentenced to death by stoning at the same time. A local judge sentenced the prisoners to death by stoning in Khorasan's province Fifth Circuit Court.

According to sources in Iran, two men were stoned to death in Mashhad, while a third man managed to rescue himself by pulling himself out of the hole.
