The hunger strike by 1,500 prisoners in Unit 2 of Ghezel Hesar Prison entered its 6th day on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
Since last night, the physical condition of several prisoners has deteriorated.
A number of the striking prisoners have sewn their lips shut and held up signs reading “No to Execution.”
Repressive forces attempted to remove the prisoners who had sewn their lips, but the striking inmates resisted and prevented them from being separated from the group.
Last night, several prison guards appeared among the prisoners and threatened them, stating, “Until today, the Prisons Organization was handling your strike. From now on, the matter has been handed over to the Judiciary. The prisoners who were taken to solitary confinement will be executed, and starting tomorrow, the executions of the rest will begin.”
The striking prisoners declared in response: “We will stand firm to the end and will continue our strike with strength until we achieve our goal.”
Today, the regime weakened the internet connection in the vicinity of Ghezel Hesar and used a jammer to disable the prisoners’ mobile phone SIM cards.
The striking prisoners once again called on the public and their families to protest against the brutal executions.

"One is absolutely sickened, not by the crimes that the wicked have committed,
but by the punishments that the good have inflicted."
but by the punishments that the good have inflicted."
